Transitional Medicine Curriculum
During the Transitional year, residents apply the knowledge acquired during medical school through rotations on the general medicine floor. Emergency medicine and critical care rotations provide in-depth exposure to acutely ill patients. During each floor rotation, residents function as a team, consisting of two PGY I’s and one PGY II or III and a teaching faculty member. Teaching and patient care rounds are conducted daily. Attending staff is available 24-hours-a-day.
